The film is the dubbed version of Malayalam film Urumi
Earlier on, we had informed you that Vidya Balan’s Mollywood venture Urumi is going to get India wide re-release. The Hindi version is titled as Ek Yodha Shoorveer and its exciting trailer has been unveiled.
It indeed looks like a larger than life movie and it has a lot of different storylines which intersect with each other. The entire movie is set in the colonial era when European nations like Britain, Portugal and France were fighting for control over India. The main protagonist is the brilliant actor Prithviraj, who seems to be an Indian royal and warrior, who looks fantastic with long hair and chiselled physique. He is seen romancing the gorgeous Genelia D’Souza Deshmukh who looks like a fighter too.
Then there is Vidya Balan who looks really graceful as a dance teacher and has a crucial role in the film. These three are supported by Prabhu Dheva and Tabu. All the characters look very interesting and make an impression in the trailer. Ek Yodha Shoorveer has politics, drama, lots of sword fighting sequences, sensual romance, even canon battles between ships and a full fledged war scene that will take your breath away.
The film will truly remind you of Baahubali. But of course, one must not draw comparisons to Baahubali because firstly, Urumi did not have a lavish budget like the SS Rajamouli epic did and secondly, it was shot over six years ago, for which the VFX is still mighty impressive. On the whole, Ek Yodha Shoorveer is something you should be definitely excited about.
