Everyone is a little excited to see Prabhu Dheva back as an actor in the cine field. The film that he has chosen to make a comebackwith is a horror film titled as Devi in Tamil and Abhinetri in Telugu. It also stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Sonu Sood and the first look of the movie has finally come out.
It shows Tamannaah draped in a black saree. She is trapped in a huge cage of some sort as she grips the bars of her prison tightly with both her hands. She looks really demure and dreamy though as she is staring off into the distance. Her cage is also surrounded by a lot of smoke. Beneath her pic, the title of the film Devi is written, with the end portion coloured blood red. The entire first look is set on a purplish background. The one thing that this reminds us of is old school Tamil horror movies, which had white smoke representing ghosts and silly make up and cheap production values, that are still considered classics today.
Basically, this first look of Devi tries to revive the charm of the olden day horror movies. It is also great to see that they have finally given Tamannaah her due footage, for she is the main lead of this bilingual horror film after all. In the teaser that came out before, it had only Prabhu Dheva and Amy Jackson which had left us all puzzled.
Hopefully, Devi will only retain the charm of the olden days and not the shoddy makeup and costumes.
